Shekinah is a safe, peaceful place. You can choose how you spend your time - be silent, talk or pray, or just rest and enjoy the gardens and woodland; explore the country-side, write, paint, read or even pull up a few weeds if you feel so inclined!
Our aim is for your stay to be as appropriate and meaningful to you as we can possibly make it.
Listening and Prayer
Many people say that they find it helpful to be listened to by someone who is interested, caring, and non-judgemental. Our ministry team are sensitive to individuals and able to support guests through confidential listening and prayer.
If you would like to spend some time with members of our team please let us know when you book so that a suitable time can be arranged.
This is not counselling, and we can't promise to solve problems, but we can offer a sympathetic, listening ear.
Staying silent during your retreat can help you to focus on prayer and reflection, but this is your choice. If you are sure that you would like to be in silence when you book, please make that clear to us.
Guests are welcome to join us in an informal prayer time in the Sheep Gate at 9.30 am each morning.
For more information on prayer, please visit our dedicated page here.
